Payment

All reservations must be secured by a valid credit or debit card.

Accounts must be settled in full on day of arrival.

No allowances are made for meals not taken. We accept most major credit and debit cards with no fee. We are no longer able to accept cheques as payment.

 

Check-in and Check-out

Guests may check-in any time between 4 pm and 6:30 pm and check-out is up 10.30 am on the day of departure.

 

Dogs

Dogs are not welcomed at Stour Lodge.

 

Children

We do not accept children under the age of 10 years old.

 

Cancellation Policy

We respectfully remind guests that a reservation constitutes a contract between themselves and Stour Lodge.

Cancellation is free of charge if made more than 48 hours prior to arrival.

Cancellation will be charged at 50% of the total cost of the booking if made less than 48 hours prior to arrival.

100% of the total cost of the booking will be charged for “no show” or reduction in stay after arrival.

 

Damage to Property

We reserve the right to charge guests for damage beyond normal wear and tear. Should this damage come to light after the guest has departed, we reserve the right to make a charge to the guest’s credit / debit card or send an invoice for the amount to the registered address. We will, however, make every effort to rectify any damage internally prior to contracting specialists to make the repairs, and, therefore, will make every effort to keep any costs that the guest would incur to a minimum.

 

Smoking

Stour Lodge is now entirely non-smoking, including vaping. Guests are not permitted to smoke anywhere on the premises.

 

Parking

Stour Lodge has its own off-street car parking available. Parking is at guests own risk. Bikes and kayaks stored at Stour Lodge are stored at guests own risk.


Insurance

We advise you to take out insurance to cover the cost of cancellation and other risks including loss or damage to personal belongings or personal accident. The establishment’s liability for guest belongings is generally limited under the Hotel Proprietors Act. Stour Lodge maintains appropriate insurance cover where the establishment is at fault for any injury, loss or damage suffered by our guests.

 

Wi-Fi

Wi-Fi is available free of charge to our guests and is available throughout the building.

 

Outside Space

The gardens at the back of the house are private.
